"Hello, I found a book that perhaps we can interest, especially for those who have raised during the operation of
Maria Vittoria, concerns about the economic problems Biennale.
the book is titled:
the Venice Biennale, Documenta in Kassel, exhibition, sale, advertising art, Marilena Vecco
the book can be found at the Library of Tolentini, the Querini Stampalia (or wanting 've bought the toilet)
is pretty interesting, is a book of economic but not only, and is divided very clearly.
for both events is a more purely historical, dealing with evolution,
part that analyzes the institutional (laws, the organizational structure),
part that frames the exhibition activity (type of exhibitions, artists, works and visitors), and a final section that develops an economic analysis which are highlighted in the evolution of income and expenditure, indicators, background art and the impact on social reality.
Certainly the economic period analyzed is limited and a bit outdated, from 1982 to 1993, however, clear idea of \u200b\u200bthe processes underlying these institutions.
another nice thing is that this text comes to a conclusion about the 1997 ... exactly 10 years ago, the year with a book full of appointments, Documenta in Kassel, the Biennale (Venice, Lyon, one of Havana, and one organized in New York from Whitney Museum), and also Skulptur Project. It 'be interesting for a reflection by comparing 1997 and 2007 because these events coincide 1 time every 10 years.
There is also a bibliography of articles full of ideas and ...
I hope that it will be useful to someone! "
